Electrolyte for Hydrocarbon Air Fuel Cells.

Abstract

Research and results on the use of sulfonic acid electrolytes in propane air fuel cells are described. Tetrafluoroethanedisulfonic acid and octafluorobutanedisulfonic acid were used to oxidize propane and their polarization behavior is reported. Phosphoric acid is used as a reference electrolyte for measurements of overpotential vs. current density in half cells.
