Method of Preparing Reserve Layer Film,

Abstract

The invention deals with the method for preparing a reserve layer film used in the hydrotype printing method of color film prints. The known method of producing a reserve layer film consists of introducing a fixative -- of salt of poly-4-vinylbenzyltrialkyammonia into an emulsion layer, after which the layer is poured onto the backing. Many other fixatives are used, for example, chitosan. It has been found that to increase the fixing power of the receiving layer of the reserve layer film copolymers of gelatine can be used with unsaturated bases of the general formulae CH2=(CR)-COO(CH2)n-Z or CH2=CH-Z where R is the alkyl; Z is the residue of the aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic, alicyclic or fatty-aromatic of amines or their derivatives, or their salts; n is the integer.
