The Effect of Sampling Jitter on Signal Detection by an Array.

Abstract

The effect of random errors (jitter) in sampling times is analyzed for an array processor, the 'Bryn' processor. Expressions for array gain as a function of sampling error are obtained. Numerical results are presented that indicate a substantial loss in array gain can occur under some conditions. (Modified author abstract)
