Probability of Crashing for a Terrain-Following Missile.

Abstract

The report deals with the derivation of a new expression for PC, the probability of crashing, for a terrain-following missile. It is compared with the older, commonly used expression for PC. In general, it gives more pessimistic results; i.e., the missile must fly higher in order to achieve a probability of not crashing equal to that obtained by the older method. (Author)
