Cooperative Radiation Effects Simulation Program.

Abstract

This sixth semiannual progress Report, covering the period 1 November 1973 to 30 April 1974, includes progress in: devising an approach to the calculation of the energy partition of an atomic collision cascade in multi element materials, extending existing calculations and writing a computer code for calculating heavy ion lateral ranges, developing a new transport theory for heavy ion beams near a target surface, an investigation of the dose dependence of nickel ion damage in nickel, studies of the flux (dose rate) dependence of void growth in 2.8-MeV nickel-ion-irradiated nickel, studies of helium temperature during helium implantation, development of a helium depth profiling system, and the design of experiments and equipment for studying irradiation-induced creep of structural alloys by cyclotron bombardment.
