Drug Abuse Current Alerting Service.
Abstract
Over the two year contract period, the Science Communication Division provided a selective current awareness service of the published literature pertaining to drug abuse research, treatment, and rehabilitation. Material was scanned and evaluated as it pertained to the specific needs of the military services and to situations in which military personnel and their dependents would be expected to be involved. To insure that these goals were met, a questionnaire was prepared and distributed on an annual basis. The findings of the questionnaires were presented as reports to the agency. The report is a bibliography of the articles which were abstracted and disseminated through the drug abuse current alerting service.
