Basic Properties of Three Medium-Density Hardboards.

Abstract

To provide a base for comparison with experimentally produced boards from urban residues and other raw materials, the basic properties of three commercial medium-density hardboards were evaluated. The report presents properties obtained in flexure, tension parallel to surface, compression, tension perpendicular to surface (internal bond), hardness, and screw withdrawal as well as physical properties such as water absorption, thickness swelling, and linear expansion.
