Project One Hundred Thousand. Characteristics and Performance of 'New Standards' Men

Abstract

The report provides information on the progress achieved during the first three years of Project One Hundred Thousand. In October 1966 the Department of Defense revised the entrance standards for military service and began accepting men who would have been disqualified in the past because of failure to meet the mental standards and for physical defects which are easily correctable. This report identifies them as 'New Standards' men.
