An Electrical Insulating, Heat-Resistant, Refractory Material,

Abstract

The object of the invention is to increase mechanical strength and erosion and chemical stability. For this reason the proposed material contains the following quantities of the indicated components in mole %: silicon nitride (30-89); silicon carbide (1-60); and, in addition, oxide of an element from the group (Mg, Al) (10-50).
