The Seaweeds of the Murmansk Region in the Vicinity of the Malyi Olenii (Nemetskii) Island (Vodorosli Murmana v Okrestnostyakh Ostrova Malogo Olenego (Nemetskogo)),
Abstract
The author conducted independent investigations of algae in the region of Malyy Oleniy (Nemetskiy) Island in the Murmansk vicinity. This investigation established that algae grows along the coast of this island and continent and the width of the distribution belt of these algae reached 1-1.5 km along the northern coast of the island; whereas, on its southern coast and on the continent, this width varied from 1 to 50m. The systematics composition of the algae of Malyy Oleniy Island is identical to that of the Kildin Island. (Modified author abstract)
