Ferrous Metallurgy.

Abstract

The article reviews the performance of the ferrous metallurgy industry in 1972. Areas of non-fulfillment of plans and other shortcomings are noted. The program for opening up new metallurgical capacities during 1971 and 1972 was not fulfilled. Last year the plan for centralization of capital investments in metallurgical production was met by only 79 percent, and the plan for construction and installation work was met by 88 percent. A chart shows figures on steel output for 1972 and planned output for 1973 for a number of leading plants and enterprises of the industry.
