A Perforator of Lamellar Tapes for Alkaline Storage Battery Electrodes,

Abstract

A mechanism for perforating the lamellar tapes used as alkaline battery electrodes is described. The device eliminates the loss of material from the tape in the punching process. This is accomplished by a roller punch and die configuration in which the die inset diameter is a tooth diameter larger than the diameter of the punch tooth.
