Ecological Study Requirements for Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

Abstract

A study was conducted at Vandenberg AFB, CA to determine the requirements for a detailed ecological study, to determine the impact of the Space Transportation System on the ecology of Vandenberg, and to determine the need and direction of future land management. Vandenberg has a variety of vegetative communities which support various species of animal and bird life. The coastal areas may support a rich abundance of marine life. Recommendations include a systematic approach and multidiscipline study to determine the significance and associativity of the various forms of biota. (Modified author abstract)
