Environmental Failure of Structural Adhesive Joints A Literature Survey.

Abstract

This is a review of the literature on the durability of struc-tural adhesive joints in hostile environments, particularly water. Such critical factors as the adhesive, curing agent, degree of cure, substrate, and surface preparation method are discussed, and possible failure mechanisms considered. (AH-PL)
