Surface Wave Studies on Crustal and Mantle Structure of China

Abstract

A multiple-filter technique was applied to long-period World-wide Standardized Seismographic Network (WWSSN) and high-grain records of earthquakes in southeastern Asia to extract group velocity dispersion data. Seismograms of surface wavepaths crossing the Tibetan platform and South China platform were used to obtain data on local crustal and upper mantle structures.
