Investigation of the Effects of Noise on the Encoding Function of a Syncoder.

Abstract

A syncoder is an electronic model of a neuron (nerve cell). An approximate performance analysis under arbitrary additive noise conditions is developed. A computer program to provide graphical results is written and effects of varying parameters are discussed. Comparisons with studies of the noiseless syncoder are made. (Author)
