Dynamics of the Current Sheath in a Pulsed Coaxial Injector,

Abstract

Pulsed coaxial plasma accelerators are discussed. Results are given of the measurement of the distributions of electrical and magnetic fields in the entire space of the channel and for all points in time, density distribution of the inert gas, density of charged particles, and luminous intensity of lines H alpha, H beta, and CII. By calculations the distributions of temperature, current density, conductivity, and velocities of ions and electrons were obtained.
