Abstract

The techniques uses to collect, organize, and evaluate the facts about a computer system and its environment and to draw conclusions which lead to a better system are collectively called computer performance evaluation. There are three general objectives of computer performance evaluation: the selection of a particular system, the projection of the performance of an existing system, and the monitoring of the performance of an existing system. These areas of performance analysis were investigated in connection with the analysis of the Advanced Logistics System. (Modified author abstract)
