Computer Analysis of Electrocardiograms.

Abstract

The study demonstrates the feasibility of using a digital computer for analysis of digitized electrocardiogram data. Specifically it searched for and cataloged all of the points pertaining to the P-wave. Sixteen test cases were used to test the algorithm which was developed. Of the 16, the algorithm was able to do accurate analysis on 10. The six that were not analyzed were cases of rapid atrial activity and disassociated P-waves. The method of analysis used was time domain pattern recognition techniques. (Author)
