N-Acetylation of the Anthrax Allergen,

Abstract

The purpose of this work was conducting of the specific blocking of the NH2-groups of anthrax allergen and the study of the interrelation of the latter with the biological activity of a preparation. N-acetylation by acetic anhydride was conducted. Since the specific activity of anthrax allergen after acetylation did not change, although in this case about 70% of NH2-groups was blocked and about 40% of indole groups modified, it may be concluded that the activity of the allergen was not connected with amino- and indole groups.
