Analysis and Design of Composite Bonded Joints under a Dynamic Type Load.

Abstract

Contributions were made to further the use of composite materials and their use in structures. These areas include the response of spherical and cylindrical shells to localized loads, the elastic stability of plates to in-plane loads, determination of accurate values of interlaminar shear and normal stresses in laminated shell construction, and the design and optimization of bonded joints in composite material constructions.
