Line Source Smoke and Riot Control Agent Rope

Abstract

The purpose of the program was to improve the characteristics of a commercially available smoke rope to provide increased value to the US Army as a crowd control device. The smoke rope may be laid out across roads, in front of buildings or natural terrain features to produce a one shot smoke screen. The smoke screen may be inert or may contain CS or a similar control agent. A number of lines may be laid side by side so a repeatable barrier effect may be achieved.
