Parametric Studies Fluidic Handling and Processing of Letter Mail.

Abstract

The program objective was to determine the kinetics of letter mail in fluidic handling and processing systems and reduce or eliminate the problems related to letter size and weight. The fluidic transport system consisted of a set of pinch rollers to obtain the initial letter velocity, and air jets mounted along an instrumented transport rail to maintain velocity. The experimental model is described in detail. (Modified author abstract)
