Sequence Laser Interferometry in a Muzzle Jet Flow Simulator,

Abstract

This paper describes a technique found useful to obtain several sequence laser interferograms of jet flow development. From these (finite fringe) interferograms, the density distribution in the entire flow field may, in principle, be obtained using the reduction technique. Sample interferograms, as well as spark shadowgrams which show qualitative details of the flow to support the interferograms, are shown and discussed. Some quantitative results are presented.
