An Integrated Approach to Computer Aided Design and Fabrication of Distributed Parameter Microwave Devices,

Abstract

A method was developed to apply Computer Aided Design (CAD) methods to the design of distributed parameter microwave devices and to produce the design results in a form and format which is directly usable by Numerical Control (NC) fabrication equipment. By taking an integrated approach, the improved design accuracy (better than plus or minus .001 in.) can be carried directly into the fabrication process, which is also capable of accuracies of plus or minus .001 in. Thus it is possible to quickly design and fabricate devices which need a minimum of adjustment.
