Disruption of Visual Function Associated with Laser Environments,

Abstract

The rapid deployment of various kinds of operational laser systems has made it essential to determine the ocular hazards associated with such systems. Biological research concerned with this problem has been restricted almost totally to the determination of macro and micro structural changes on ocular tissue associated with laser irradiation. The principal goal of the research program has been to detail some of the hazardous effects of laser irradiation on visual function. In the paper methodology is reviewed and recent results are presented.
