Cavitation Performance of a Propeller Design for a Naval Auxiliary Oiler (AO 177) (Model 5326 with Design Propeller 4645)

Abstract

Cavitation experiments were performed on a model propeller designed for (AO 177). The results showed satisfactory performance concerning power loss; However, a potential problem with erosion is predicted based on these results. Additional erosion studies are recommended.
