Theory of Wide-Angle Photographic Processing,

Abstract

The article deals with the development of a general theory for the processing and interpretation of the kind of wide-angle (panoramic) photographs which might be taken by a stationary camera system on the surface of a celestial body. The overall distinguishing feature of the photogrammetric method considered is a transition to equivalent planar pictures of central projection.
