The 'Inductor-Product' System as a Control Object for Inductional Continuously Successive Heating,

Abstract

The article considers a method for the analytical description of the transfer functions of a regulated object during inductional continuous-sequential heating in inductors of finite length. Fast technological processes of hot plastic deformation, thermal treatment and the welding of metals with the inductional continuous-sequential heating (ICSH) with built-in control and regulating systems (CRS) for the temperature regimes with the aid of photoelectric temperature sensors are widely used in metallurgy and machine building. When such systems are designed, it is necessary to have a mathematical description of the regulated object, i.e., the transfer functions which relate the temperature of the product at the output of the inductor to the main controlling and perturbing actions.
