The Use of the Allergic Test with Dysenterin for the Purpose of the Exposure of Patients with Dysentery,

Abstract

A dysentery diagnosis was indicated after proctosigmoidoscopy and bacteriological investigations in 25 persons with positive allergic skin tests. The patients were hospitalized in an infectious-disease hospital, where the diagnosis of dysentery was confirmed clinically, and on the basis of supplementary bacteriological investigation of feces, in 3 cases, it was possible to isolate the causative agent of the disease. The intracutaneous test with Tsuverkalov allergen merits implementation in practice.
