The Development of Spacecraft Data Handling Systems 1963-1973.

Abstract

The work of the Spacecraft Data Handling Section of Space Department, RAE over the decade 1963-1973 is reviewed. The reasoning behind the progressive development leading up to a modular PCM system is indicated with emphasis on the problems of procuring reliable electronic components.
