Study of Ammonium Nitrate Materials

Abstract

The report is concerned with large scale experiments or scaled experiments which attempt to demonstrate the general theory of the fire and detonation in the several ship disasters of ammonium nitrate. Chapters include: Consideration of large scale experiments concerned with spontaneous heating; Scaled experiments concerning spontaneous heating; Fire in ammonium nitrate; An approximation to a large scale explosion; Consideration of the gas phase detonation theory; Information concerning ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate double and mixed salts.
