On-Line Data Analysis with a Hybrid Computer; Time Code Interface and Tape Writing Routines.

Abstract

Interface circuitry was designed to transfer the 30-bit output of a Systron-Donner 8150 Time Code Reader/Generator to an input data bus of an EAI 8400 digital computer upon command from the 8400. FORTRAN callable subroutines were developed to initiate reading the time code bits and to transmit the time label to memory or selected peripheral devices. These subroutines were added to the previously developed data analysis package to facilitate the recording of digitized data on magnet tape with time labels included in the tape headers. (Author)
