Operational Thermal Fog Dissipation System at Ramstein Air Base, Germany,

Abstract

The report presents the results of the feasibility and maximum cost study on the application of a momentum source thermal fog dissipation system at Ramstein AB, Germany. Supplied criteria such as conservative estimate of burner spacing, heat output, system utilization statistics, etc., are used to arrive at a basic configuration. Each major subsystem is then analyzed in detail in order to allow identification of areas where significant cost savings could be realized. Outline specifications as well as cost estimates, drawings and calculations are presented. Two appendices contain information on cost variations created by changing the system configuration and burner spacing. (Author)
