Computer-Aided Morphological Synthesis: Pair Elimination Technique.

Abstract

Morphological synthesis is a powerful method for aiding demand ideation. However, it often produces too many ideas. The pair elimination technique is used in conjunction with morphological synthesis. This technique reduces the number of ideas generated, but it does not eliminate practical ideas. A computer is used to rapidly, accurately, and completely perform the many cross-correlations and comparisons of a morphological synthesis with pair elimination. (Author)
