Applications of Computers in Health Care Delivery: An Overview and Research Agenda,

Abstract

The paper summarizes the current status of computer applications in health care delivery, and outlines some important areas of research that might facilitate the rate and extent to which computers will be used. Section II presents an overview of the current status of computer usage in health care. Section III describes several research topics that are currently receiving comparatively little attention, but that the authors believe will be important determinants of the extent to which the technology will be applied in health care.
