Abstract

Tests were conducted to determine the behavior of bulk grain under conditions similar to those encountered in the hold of a rolling cargo ship. It was intended that a large container representing a ship hold be titled under controlled conditions to determine at what angle the bulk grain will shift or flow. The results of the tests are given.
