Support of Commercial Vehicles.

Abstract

The Army will buy commercial vehicles for use in tactical environment. The report describes a study to determine whether a warranty should be obtained for these vehicles, and if so what type. The report concludes that a warranty covering parts and labor should be obtained and that the coverage should be the same as commercial practice. The warranty period should not begin until the Army puts the vehicle in service, but not more than twelve months after vehicle delivery. (Modified author abstract)
