Investigations in the Theory of Electron Reactions with Nuclei.

Abstract

The report covers the research activities on contracts concerning the electromagnetic structure of the atomic nucleas and the interaction of atomic nuclei with radiation and high energy electrons. A short overview of the different projects attempted are given as follows: (1) The Distorted Wave Program (for electron scattering), (2) Corrections to Electron Scattering, (3) Photofission and Electrofission, (4) Microscopic Charge Distributions, (5) Collective Models for Electron Scattering Form Factors, (6) Real and Virtual Radiation Distributions, (7) Backward Scattering and Magnetic Distributions, (8) K-Meson Capture, (9) Mathematical Methods for Functions of Matrices, (10) Zero-Point Oscillations.
