Analytic Photogrammetry,

Abstract

Results of practical work in the Soviet Union on automating the plotting of photogrammetric nets using digital computers are described. Computer programs involving the Ural-1, Strela, M-20, Ural-2, Razdan-2, M-20, and M-220 computers are presented in this application. Automated stereocomparators and monocomparators of foreign manufacture are compared, along with Soviet models. Analytic instruments for compiling topographic maps and photodocuments are discussed, including the analytic phototransformer and the analytic cartograph. The automation of photographic interpretation concludes the main part of the text excepts.
