Deformability of Metals and Binary Alloys,

Abstract

The concept of deformability of metals, physicochemical and thermomechanical factors, stress state and other factors affecting deformability of metals and alloys are discussed. Methods of investigating resistance to deformation, plasticity and deformability are discussed. Plasticity and strength of metals of the iron, heavy nonferrous, light nonferrous, high melting, noble, alkali and alkali earth and heavy radioactive metals is discussed in detail. Deformability of several binary alloys with limited and unlimited solubility of components in the solid state is discussed, as well as superplasticity phenomena of two-phase alloys.
