Efficiency of Radar Detection of Clouds and Precipitation,

Abstract

The capabilities of radar detection of clouds and precipitation are characterized by maximum ranges and the probability of detecting these phenomena. The first characteristic is determined by radar technical parameters, cloud and precipitation reflectivity, and the second -- by the incidence of these atmospheric formations in a particular geographical region.
