Electric Machines for Autonomous Power-Supply Sources,

Abstract

The book illuminates the special features of the construction and characteristics of new and improved designs for electrical machines employed in autonomous power-supply sources. The special features of the physical processes of dc and ac electrical machines, contact and contactless, with cylindrical and axial bores, with various systems for the excitation and regulation of operating magnetic flux, and other subjects are examined. The book presents the theory and methods for calculating new types of machines, symmetrical and asymmetrical steady-state modes for their operation, the theory of single-phase synchronous generators, the analytical determination of qualitative characteristics of electric power, and other topics. It contains many formulas and diagrams.
