Automation of the Monitoring and Investigation of Metals,

Abstract

Automated monitoring and investigation of metals is examined in these book excerpts. The physical, mechanical, and heat-physical properties of metals and alloys are determined by a variety of single-technique and integrated multi-technique approaches. Adiabatic calorimetry, differential measurements in calorimetry, combination of thermal analysis and calorimetry, and the measurement of thermal conductivity and temperature conductivity are discussed. Advantages and disadvantages of various Soviet and foreign measurement schemes are compared and the error analysis of each system is presented.
