Abstract
The material in the revised and enlarged edition has been updated in accordance with current views on engineer support of combined-arms combat. The book presents methods of engineer support of the operations of podrazdeleniya on the offensive, in a meeting engagement, when forcing water barriers, on the defensive and on a march. It gives practical recommendations on organization of engineer support, the characteristics of the most important means of engineer armament and engineer structures employed in combined-arms combat and data necessary for carrying out various engineer jobs and measures. The reader is familiarized with engineer support of military operations in the armies of the U.S.A., the F.R.G. and England.
