The Value of an Air Combat Maneuvering Range to the Tactical Air Command.

Abstract

The author takes the position that the Tactical Air Command needs an instrumented range for training in air-to-air combat-Air Combat Maneuvering Range (ACMR) as early as possible, and makes a case for a coordinated plan of utilization for the Simulator for Air-to-Air Combat (SAAC) and an ACMR. It is asserted that the complimentary capabilities of the two systems can make important contributions to tactical fighter training, tactics development, and simulator development. (Author)
