Abstract
This bibliography is divided into two sections. The first section contains references to the political and technical aspects in power failures. The second section consists of the social problems associated with disasters. The references date from 1965 to date and were culled from a literature search of the following sources: Applied science and technology; Engineering index; Public affairs information service; Business periodicals index; Energy abstracts; Sociological abstracts; Reader's guide to periodical literature; Rand library catalog; Ohio state university, disaster research center publications; GPO (Government Printing Office) monthly catalog; and National research council, disaster research group publications.
