Microbial Allergy,

Abstract

The research was concerned with a study of the microflora of the sputum in bronchial asthma patients, selection of productive strains of microbes for the preparation of allergens, clarification of the diagnostic value of skin tests, validation of desensitization procedures, and experimental and clinical study of immune-serological shifts during prolonged introduction of microbial allergens. The report contains a brief exposition of contemporary data on antigens and antibodies and the antigen-antibody reaction. A description of certain immunological and serological methods of research which are used for diagnostic purposes in cases of infectious-allergic diseases is discussed.
