Curve of the Field in the Air Gap of a Salient-Pole Synchronous Machine with Consideration of Saturation,

Abstract

A graphical-analytical method is proposed for constructing a field in the air gap with consideration of the saturation of the steel in both the inductor and the armature, including simple computations and constructions and ensuring practically acceptable accuracy in obtaining the first and third harmonics of the field.
