Mathematical-Statistical Models for Predicting the Development of Agriculture in the Socialist Federated Republic of Yugoslavia,

Abstract

At the present time, different mathematical-statistical models for predicting and programming the development of agricultural production are being worked out. They can be combined into three basic groups: models based on regression analysis, models obtained by linear programming and models based on a combination of regression analysis and linear programming. Regression analysis is used primarily to predict the development of specific trends of agricultural production on the basis of analysis of time series and production functions. Models based on regression analysis are especially suitable for working out prediction of the development of individual trends of agricultural development on the international level.
